ADAPT is an organization made up of entrepreneurs that aims to develop entrepreneurship among young people, to contribute to their professional and personal development. Our activities are based on successful measures and schemes applied in other countries and adapted to the Romanian realities in order to support the development of new professional competences. ADAPT also aims to develop activities to support SMEs and improve the degree of entrepreneurial education in order to support increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of SMEs in Romania.
ADAPT OBJECTIVES:
a. Promoting and supporting entrepreneurial activity, vocational training, continuous VET training, and transferring innovation with priority to young people;
b. Promoting development policies in Romania, nationally and internationally under the aegis of the European Union and the United Nations;
C. Collaboration with central and local public administration structures, with similar structures in the country and abroad in order to promote economic development and technological transfer in Romania
d. Organizes and mentors young entrepreneurs and supports collaboration between them;
The training, practice / mentoring / counseling and monitoring activities were created specifically to meet the identified needs. By developing and implementing entrepreneurship programs they aim to increase the skills of the target group members, including by organizing support actions for starting a business (practice / mentoring / consulting), resulting in the establishment of new companies, the creation of new jobs and increasing the quality of life. Also, the business support activities help to reach the strategic target for 2020 from the Government Strategy for developing the sector of small and medium enterprises and improving the business environment in Romania - Horizon 2020 to reach the threshold of about 41.23% of the number of SMEs. economic assets. ADAPT activities contribute to achieving the objectives of the theme of social innovation by the fact that through its dissemination, training and consulting activities offered to the participants in the project will be promoted ideas, services and models through which the social challenges can be better addressed. By investing in individuals from the training period, they aim at their long-term development, the quality of their subsequent work and lay the foundations for assimilating the concept of lifelong learning, effectively correlating the theoretical, formal, and practical education, resulting through the work.
In the South Muntenia region, the effects of the financial and economic crisis were manifested by reducing the number of companies, the number of jobs, by limiting and slowing the creation of jobs and implicitly, by increasing unemployment. All of these have direct effects on the entry of young people into the labor market and the exit from the labor market of people with a vulnerable position. According to the Entrepreneurship Action Plan 2020 “entrepreneurship is an essential vector of economic growth and job creation. ADAPT intends to create new companies to help increase the employment rate thus contributing to the achievement of Romania's goal of reaching an employment rate of 70% for the age group 20-64 years, by 2020, assumed by PNR . “The National Strategy on Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction for the period 2015-2020” mentions that despite the relatively low level of unemployment, Romania has a very high poverty rate of working people and a high level of employment in the informal sector. The latest data shows that in the Southern Muntenia Region the risk of poverty or social exclusion (AROPE) is 40.2%.
